Joe, Jim and team started this site to help anyone and everyone who wants to learn how to play guitar.   This site started out as a way to communicate just to our students.  However, we decided to make this a site available for everyone who wants to learn how to play. 

We hear people say all the time "I wish I knew how to play guitar" Well...today is a great day to start learning how to play the guitar.  

There has never been a better time to learn than right now.  With everything going on in the world around us, there is nothing like the peace that comes from turning everything off and playing guitar!

You do not have to be a musical genius, and you don’t need exceptional talent to play.  There is no musical gatekeeper who says you have to have a pre defined level talent to play.  

If you love music and want to have a skill that will last the rest of your life, start learning today!

I have never met a guitar player who did not love to play guitar. Never.  No one has ever said, “learning guitar was a waste of time.”  

You just need to follow simple steps to begin to learn.  If you can follow the steps of learning the basic open chords, you will be able to play songs on the guitar in no time! Start by learning the Eight Easy Guitar Chords to Start Playing Guitar.  These are the essential chords to learn.  You can learn to play all of these in 30 days or less.  It all depends on how much you practice. 

Once you learn the chords, work on playing songs, and build your strumming (rhythm) skills.  This is a big part of playing the guitar.  You will learn strumming rhythm by playing along with songs.  Have fun with it and make it your own.  No one is grading you or judging you.  

Go after it!  Just don’t give up!
